Chandler, Arthur B.

Arthur B. Chandler died on December 14, 2020, after a long illness.

Born in Plymouth, Arthur grew up in Duxbury and spent most of his adult life in Canton. He graduated from UMass Amherst and upon graduation he went into the insurance business. After working with several companies he started his own company, ABC-LTC Insurance Agency, in Marshfield.

Arthur was the beloved husband of Louise Taylor Chandler. He was brother-in-law to Sister Marian Batho CSJ. He was the father of Jill, James, Heather, Mark, Leanne, Jeffrey, and their respective spouses. He leaves behind 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his grandchildren.

He enjoyed baseball and basketball. Arthur was a past president of the Canton Lions Club, past elected member of the Easton Finances Committee, and past member of the Canton Finance Committee.

A funeral service will be held in the Congregational Church of Canton, 1541 Washington Street, on Friday, December 18, at 2 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend following COVID-19 protocols. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John’s School at 700 Washington St., Canton, MA 02021 would be greatly appreciated.
