Wedge, William T.
By Canton CitizenWilliam T. Wedge, 74, of Canton, died August 9, 2011, after a long illness.
A graduate of Canton High School, he was a proud veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was also a retired electrician, having served in the IBEW Local #103 for over 39 years. He was an active member of AA. After retirement, he worked for the Bay State School of Technology in Canton for several years.
William was a bass singer for the Blue Hill Four, the Canton/Norwood Baystatesmen Chorus and the Blue Hill Junction. He was a proud barbershopper with SPEBSQSA for over 50 years.
Devoted husband of the late Janice L. (Ruggeiro). Loving father of William F. Wedge and his wife, Allison, of Plymouth; Mark C. Wedge and his wife, Julie, of Stoughton; and Jana C. Toomey and her husband, Jeffrey, of NH. Brother of Walter Wedge of Easton and Alice Wedge of Canton. He is also survived by six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Friday morning, August 12, in the Roache-Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street in Canton. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park.
