Guarino, John M.

Born in Dallas, TX, and raised in Canton, John graduated from Canton High School and went on to earn a BA from Bridgewater State University, an MS from Dartmouth College, an MBA from the University of Connecticut, and a PhD from Syracuse University. For many years, John was a business management professor at Averett University in Danville, VA. He was a devout Catholic and a voracious reader who also enjoyed woodworking in his free time.
Devoted son of the late Alfred and Margaret (Doody) Guarino. Brother of George A. Guarino of Las Vegas, NV; Sandra M. Kraynak and her husband, Bob, of Hamilton, NY; Nancy J. Zahar and her husband, Jim, of Taunton; James N. Guarino of Clinton; Robert S. Guarino of Carlisle, PA; Michael P. Guarino of Clinton; David C. Guarino and his wife, Kelly, of Carlisle; and Margaret L. Guarino of Ashburn, VA. Also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A memorial mass was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Danville, VA.
