By Canton CitizenMichael J. Ross of Mansfield died Tuesday, September 28, 2021 in a tragic car accident. He died with his wife Colleen (Fadden) Ross of 35 years.
He was the loving father of Michaela Rice and her husband, Eric Rice, and Collin Ross and his fiancée, Rachel Dziedzic; loving grandfather of Avery, Teagan, and Braelyn; dear brother of Carla Coombs and her husband, Richie, of Holbrook, Maribeth MacAskill and her husband, Peter, of Marshfield, Nora Hixon and her husband, Steve, of Rhode Island, Paul Ross Jr. and his longtime girlfriend, Michelle Coates, of Florida, the late Stephen Ross and his wife, Karen Ross, of Stoughton, and the late Deborah Swift and her husband, Joseph Swift, of Plymouth. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and close friends who were like family.
Born in Boston, Michael was a resident of Mattapan and never forgot about the neighborhood he came from. He excelled as an engineer his entire career and kept up his electrical license to help friends and family. Michael always had rosy red cheeks, a big smile and contagious laugh. Michael was an avid Patriots fan, lover of music and animals, and found peace on his boat at Lake Keowee in South Carolina, especially when surrounded with his family, specifically his grandchildren.
Visiting hours in the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street, Thursday (today) from 4-8 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Oscar Romero Church, 700 Washington St., Canton.
