By Canton CitizenEileen E. Russell (Perry) of Canton passed away April 22 surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in White Plains, New York, she was raised in Randolph, MA and graduated in 1949 from Stetson High in Randolph. Before starting her family she worked as a secretary for John Hancock Insurance in Boston. She continued her secretarial career later in life at Dunkin’ Donuts’ corporate headquarters.
Eileen was a dedicated and devoted mother and wife. Her love of family and friends was at the core of her existence. She was sharp-witted and honest. She was an avid baker and a wonderful cook. She was a member of the 20/40 Club in Stoughton and contributed to many church fairs. After retiring she worked at Canton Town Hall and enjoyed working for the Town Clerk’s Office at the polls during elections.
In addition to spending time with family and friends, Eileen loved to travel, especially on cruises. She and her husband spent summers and weekends at their cottage in Dennisport. Eileen will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Beloved wife of Richard T. Mother of Susan Cogliano and her husband, Eddie, of Canton, Cynthia Flanders and her husband, Ed Shorey, of Bourne, and Sharon LeBlanc and her husband, Michael, of Sharon. Also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren: Richard and wife Julie Cogliano and their children Hailey and Ryan; Andrew and wife Courtney Cogliano and their children Logan and Lilly; and Maxwell and Olivia LeBlanc. She was predeceased by granddaughters Jennifer and Emily Flanders.
