By Canton CitizenIrene Souza of Canton passed away May 8 at the Ellis Nursing Center in Norwood.
Born and raised in Fall River, Irene graduated from Durfee High School in Fall River. She was a volunteer at the Canton Senior Center for many years where she helped with Meals on Wheels, lunches and bingo. Her happiest times were going to bingo at Foxwoods with friends. She was a friend to all and will be greatly missed.
Funeral Mass Thursday (today) at 10 a.m. in St. Oscar Romero Parish in Canton. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street, Thursday prior to the mass from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Burial Canton Corner Cemetery.
Donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital at stjude.org.
