Guilfoyle, Kathleen M.
By Canton CitizenKathleen (“Kathy”) Margaret Guilfoyle passed too soon, with her siblings by her side, after a long and hard-fought battle with breast cancer on September 5, 2022.
Beloved daughter of William L. and Barbara E. Guilfoyle and survived by her sisters and brothers Karen Guilfoyle Fawley (Reece), William J. Guilfoyle (Shari), Kevin Guilfoyle and Mary Guilfoyle Koenig (Peter), and her beloved nephews Brett (Caroline) and Sean Fawley and niece Kelly Koenig.
Kathy was born on September 1, 1955, in Palo Alto, CA, and was raised in Portola Valley, CA. She was a proud graduate of UCLA where she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority.
After college, Kathy pursued a 35-year career in finance, first with the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and continuing after a move to Boston, most recently with TIAA CREF.
Kathy loved travel and fashion and was blessed with a circle of close friends who stood by her throughout her illness.
She was a loving sister and aunt who was loved and will be missed by her many friends and colleagues.
A celebration of life for Kathy will be held from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, October 6, at Venezia Waterfront restaurant, 20 Ericsson Street in Boston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jimmy Fund at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute or your local hospice organization.
