Peter V. McKenna of Quincy passed away September 15.

Born and raised in Canton, Peter attended St. John’s School in Canton and Canton High School.

Son of the late Daniel H. and Marion T. (Kessler) McKenna. He is survived by his brother Philip of Canton. Brother of the late Alfred Carl McKenna of Canton and the late Daniel of Boston. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Peter worked as a general cashier at the old Fairmont Copley Plaza, which later became the Boston Copley Marriott. He worked the overnight shift in At Your Service (AYS) prior to his retirement and was a charter associate with 35 years of service. According to his general manager, Peter was a gentle soul and a talented artist who had many friends at the hotel. He had a great fondness for painting, and when he retired he gave a couple of his paintings to the front office of the hotel. Peter was a wonderful man and loved his cat Millie.
