Beer, Eve R.
By Canton CitizenEve R. Beer, 83, originally from Danzig, Germany, and more recently of South Easton, Stoughton and Jamaica Plain, died peacefully at home November 5, 2022.
Eve was a biochemist who worked in research for the Boston University Medical Center for over 35 years. She taught English as a second language (ESL) at the Boston Public Library for many years. Eve enjoyed being a volunteer at the Museum of Fine Arts. She also taught citizenship through a program at the Stoughton Public Library, helping close to 100 people achieve their citizenship.
She was the mother of Carmen Brogie and her husband, Mathew, of Boston, Ellen Mullaley and her husband, John, of Canton, Vincent Belur of Stoughton, and the late Peter Belur. Sister of Wolfram Beer of Germany and the late Arno Beer and Horst Beer. Eve is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours in the Pushard Family Funeral Home, 210 Sherman Street, on Sunday, November 13, from 2-4 p.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eve’s memory to Casa Myrna Vazquez, where she also volunteered, at 38 Wareham St., Boston, MA 02118.
