Garden Club announces Holiday Doors contest

As the holiday season approaches and you begin to think about putting up your outdoor holiday decorations, consider entering the Canton Garden Club’s second annual Holiday Doors of Canton contest.

The Garden Club is looking for Canton residences as well as businesses who would like to join in the merriment!

The Holiday Doors contest is easy and fun. Decorate your front entryway, fill out the entry form at cantongardenclub.org or the Garden Club’s Facebook page and mail it along with the $20 entrance fee to Diann Silvia, 21 Standish Dr., Canton, MA 02021. Registration is due by Friday, December 2, and decorations must be completed by Wednesday, December 7, with judging taking place on Friday, December 9. Judges will include a representative of the Canton Garden Club, the residences and the businesses.

Winners will be announced on the Canton Garden Club Facebook page on Saturday, December 10, and will receive a gift certificate to one of Canton’s fine eateries. A list of all the entries will be posted in the Canton Citizen and on the Garden Club’s website and Facebook pages for all to join in the merriment.

Last year’s winners, the Gillespie family and Chris Soper’s the Stylists at 630, won $100 gift cards to Waterfall Bar & Grille. A total of 19 homes and businesses entered the inaugural contest, and the Garden Club is hoping to beat that number in 2022.

All proceeds from the contest will go directly into the club’s Civic Beautification, Scholarship and Arbor Day Planting programs in the town of Canton.
