Colmer, Steven

Steven Colmer, 53, formerly of Canton, of Lauderdale by the Sea, Florida, passed away unexpectedly November 17.

Born in Boston, he was raised in Canton and graduated from Canton High School and Massasoit Community College of Culinary Arts. He worked as a chef on the USS Connecticut for several years as well as several restaurants.

Beloved son of Kenneth and Ruth (McLaughlin) Colmer of Canton. Brother of Dr. Kenneth Colmer and his wife, Lori, of Yarmouthport, Kathleen Berteletti and her husband, Paul, of Sandwich, Lisa Boyd of Norwood, and Timothy Colmer of FL. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass was held Wednesday morning, November 23, in St. Gerard Majella Church in Canton. Burial private. Arrangements by the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home, 455 Washington Street.
